The “International Journal of Children’s Literature and Educational Research” (CHEDAR), which began its publishing life in 2017 with the distinction of being Turkey’s first academic journal dedicated to children’s literature, is now stepping into its tenth year. We have decided to bring you—our esteemed authors and readers who have not left us alone on this long and challenging journey—together under the roof of CHEDAR once a year. Our goal is to enable you to contribute to the field by evaluating current developments directly and collectively. In this context, we are delighted to invite you to the 1st International Symposium on Children’s Literature and Educational Research (CHEDAR), the inaugural event of which will be held online. Our aim is to nourish the emotional, intellectual, and imaginative worlds of children and youth; to transform reading culture into a lifestyle; and to strengthen the environments for research, production, and sharing.
